I will do my best to keep fresh material coming – however lockdown has greatly hampered my ability to take more photographs! I captured this fine specimen today – a gift from my partner when he visited Poland.

Just a friendly reminder that you actually don’t have to learn a new skill or be mega-productive during lockdown. It is perfectly fine to ride it out your own way – if that means you learn a new language or discover a new law of science fantastic! If that means you watch a bunch of TikToks and take a lot of naps that’s fantastic too! The global situation is emotionally taxing for us all and we all have different ways of coping – and that is completely ok.

It is difficult to see other people not social distancing. However, sometimes doing the right thing is difficult and not the easiest choice. When you stay inside and avoid others, you are helping the world fight against the virus. You can’t control what others do, but know that what you are doing is helping. Plus there is an internet full of goat pictures, cat memes, and hilarious videos to tide us over until it’s all over!

Happy Friday y’all
Make sure to triple check all any information you receive online. There is a lot of noise out there, and sometimes it even looks legitimate when it is anything but.

Happy Earth Day!

It’s amazing how even during lockdown Monday rolls around again and feels like…a Monday! It’s good to stick to routines even if you have to create some new ones due to current events.

Happy birthday to Hazel, a beautiful Golden Guernsey goat and resident of Spitalfields City Farm!

One year ago today, my family and I were traveling home from our spring holiday. Travel worn and whatnot, I shared a picture of a goat that I took in 2011 when I lived in Delhi, India. To think of how now we are staying in place and haven’t really left our neighborhood in nearly a month is pretty crazy. Sometimes all you need is already right around you. However, I am holding onto hope that we will have future adventures, near and far. Also, I am pretty sure this goat knew the secrets of the universe. Worth sharing again!

Even if you don’t have symptoms of COVID-19, make sure to keep practicing self care and go extra easy on yourself. Lockdown is not easy but there are some silver linings here and there, plus the hope of a better world once the danger is over.
