If you put something off until the last minute, then it only takes a minute to do!*
*However. it probably won’t be the sort of high quality thing to put on your CV…

Sorry, I nearly forgot today!

“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt”
Wise words, I guess. The above quote is often attributed to Mark Twain or Abraham Lincoln, but the truth is that no one really knows. Such “wise” statements are often attributed to a many different people including they are just cliches that get constantly repeated Perhaps instead of invoking the words of people long gone (not discounting their achievements and importance in history of course) we should make our own quotes and define our own wisdom!
No need to quote past historic figures, don’t be afraid to share your own truth!
There is a difference between quitting tasks and knowing when something no longer serves you and the best course of action is to walk away. It is ok to change your goals or objectives of your life. If you have given you all and continuing on the path is painful, then find a path that fulfills you. Changing course does not indicate failure; rather, it illustrates courage.
Allow yourself to change coarse, it might lead somewhere amazing!
The only person who really needs to approve of you is you. When you have convinced yourself that you are amazing just as you are, you will convince everyone else too.
Just a friendly reminder that you are awesome.
Sometimes, you have to take a step back and consider the bigger picture. It is easy to get distracted by details and minutia, but you might be closer than you think to achieving your goals.
If you are stuck, try looking at the situation holistically
Apply yourself! You never know, whatever it is you’re going for just might work out. The only way to guarantee that you won’t get a position, job, place, scholarship, etc. is to not apply. So just go for it. If it doesn’t work out, something else will come along. If it does, it might be the beginning of something wonderful!
Submit that application and then forget it until you get the interview.
Have faith in the universe, good things are on their way.
Trust yourself, trust that things are going to work out.
Do not let whatever happened yesterday, last week, last year or five years ago take up too much space in your mind. What matters is what is happening, what you are doing, right here and right now.
Be in the now and let it go.
We live in a beautiful world, full of diverse life and environments. Sadly, the world is changing as the global temperature climbs higher and higher every year. Today is Earth Day, and perhaps consider two things. First, think about ways that you can help out. Maybe instead of driving to a shop you cycle, walk or take public transportation. Start carrying some cloth bags to carry your groceries in and say no to disposable plastics. Or even consider reducing your consumption of meat and dairy products. Second, demand that your government representatives take the threat of climate change seriously, as it effects us all. The Earth is a wondrous place, and we are her stewards, it’s up to us to set things right.
The time for climate action is now.
Happy Easter to all who celebrate. If that is not you, that is ok, I hope that you were able to capitalize on the commercialization of the holiday and enjoy some chocolate. If that is you, I hope you had a lovely day as well.
Did y’all know it was Easter? Good news, summer is just around the corner!
