You can never go wrong with kindness and compassion.

You can never go wrong with kindness and compassion.

I am glad to be alive and experiencing the world in 2020 for many reasons, but one is that we live in a time when we have the entire internet at our fingertips – an internet full of silliness and memes. When a moment of boredom or dreariness sets in, you can just have a look and find something hilarious to brighten up the day.
Sometimes, it is ok to let yourself sleep in for a little or allow yourself some extra relaxation. The more you take care of yourself and allow yourself to be still, the more productive and efficient you will be later.

Elvis was the eldest member of the goat herd at The Haven Zoo. When he first arrived at The Haven, he wasn’t quite sure about his new home and was a bit skittish, but eventually settled into sanctuary life. He was known for his rockin’ hairstyle and made caprine friends with Jim and Bernie. Yesterday, a generous volunteer donated squash and broccoli which Elvis enjoyed.
At the ripe old age of thirteen, Elvis lived a good long, life. Sadly, today he has moved on to a different sanctuary beyond. He passed away being cared for by the loving and dedicated staff at The Haven and beside his pal Bernie. He will be missed by all.

Never stop exploring. The world is full of infinite possibilities – even in your own neighbourhood.

February in the northern hemisphere can be quite grey, chilly and blustery. Don’t fear though, behind the wind, rain, snow and clouds the sun is still there. Need proof? The herd from the Haven Zoo enjoyed some lovely sunshine this afternoon. Soon enough, the sun will be back in your corner of the world.

Happy Valentine’s Day, at least if you don’t have someone to snuggle with you can always buy half price chocolate tomorrow. Either way, it’s still a Friday and that’s something to celebrate.

If you have the right support network, the possibilities are limitless. Surround yourself with people who encourage you to be you and believe in your dreams.

Although it may be cold, make sure to take advantage of the few sunny moments however few and far between.

Don’t wait until you’re old to live your best life!
