goatsWhen you start out and offer yourself to the universe, keep your mind open to all feedback, and try (although it’s hard) to receive all feedback with gratitude. Even the negative feedback, even the critical feedback. Sometimes we hold onto what we want so much and it’s hard to let go, but once you let go you can make space for newer and better possibilities.
Always search for the open window when it seems like the doors are shut.

goatsTrust me, always double and triple check emails before you send them. Everybody sometimes is guilty of letting a typo slip up here and there, so forgive yourself if it happens. However, best to make sure you read everything over before you hit send. Also, if you are in part of the world experiencing the heat wave, I hope you have a shady spot to chill out.
Everyone makes mistakes and that is ok.

goatsWe are all members of various communities – neighborhoods, professions, age sets, and thing we are enthusiastic about. In some ways, being a member of a community is one of the the things that makes us who we really are – and without the support of our fellow community members, life would be much less interesting and far more difficult. It is wonderful to feel as though you are a part of something.

goatsPutting yourself out there is really hard, and sometimes when you are looking for the right path you end up trying out a lot of different things and sometimes you find success but other times you don’t. It may be painful in the moment, but in the end it’s just part of the journey. Stay the course and you will get there, the road to success is never easy or straightforward.
Don’t dwell on rejections, just keep pressing on.

goatsEarlier this year, the twelfth of February to be precise, I reported that a friend of mine in San Francisco worked in an office that employed a herd of goats to do some landscaping around that building. Indeed, goats can digest all sorts of plants that are poisonous and quite a nuisance to humans. In fact, the digestive and grazing abilities of goats are now being employed to fight wild fires in California. With increasing wild fires brought on by the climate crisis, herds of goats are increasingly being called upon to clear out brush and areas at high risk of fires. Using goats in this way is totally green, as herbicides can be detrimental to the environment, and mowing equipment uses fossil fuels and creates air and noise pollution. Additionally, goat herds are low risk and more economical – in Laguna City, California where goats have been clearing brush for nearly twenty years a safety report estimates that a man-powered clearing crew costs $28,000 per acre while a herd of goats costs only $500. Goats may not be able to solve all of our problems, or the climate crisis, but every effort definitely helps!
