Always believe in yourself. I attended a workshop today where I was reminded by a wise person that we have everything we need already inside of us. It’s just a matter of doing the necessary work. You’ve got this.

Sometimes it’s the little things in life. A good meal shared with loved ones, a familiar, comfortable, even quirky place to meet up at or return to can help make life a bit fuller and more joyful.

I am really happy and excited to share some wonderful news! Our friends at The Haven Zoo have completed construction of the new goat barn! The herd is now safe and sound and happy to be living in their lovely new abode. Another huge thank you to anyone who donated or sponsored a member of the Haven’s menagerie.

Today, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. First, it is Friday and that is always fantastic. Second, fundraising efforts to rebuild the shelter for the motley herd at The Haven Zoo has so-far been very successful! We are nearly to our goal of raising $700 USD. Today, wood has been delivered to the Haven that will be used to make the new shelter.
So, as it is a fantastic Friday for a fantastic fundraiser, I am asking on behalf of The Haven Zoo for donations of just five dollars (USD). Just a fiver for Friday will go a long way to making sure our pals at the Haven have a shelter to protect from the elements. Who else is feeling fantastic? Why the lovely Brownie of course, who is so happy, grateful and looking forward to her new shelter. Every donation is greatly appreciated, and you can still sponsor members of the herd like Brownie to help maintain their new shelter and make sure that they have regular veterinarian check-ups and delicious, nutritious foods. Have a wonderful Friday, and a massive thank you once again to the generous sponsors and donors to The Haven Zoo!

I am very happy to report that The Haven Zoo has raised half the money to replace the shelter for the goats and llamas, including a number of generous sponsorships. A massive thank you and well-done if you have donated or sponsored an animal. If you have yet to make a donation to help, don’t worry, there is still time! With the generous funds, The Haven has purchased recycled tin for the roof of the new shelter.

Have you ever noticed those who have that certain swagger? Individuals who are so confident, they seem to glide through life? Check out Freddie and Hutton, two fantastic llamas from the Haven Zoo. Confidence is key, Hutton has classic symmetrical banana-shaped llama ears while Freddie, well who could say no to that grin? Embrace who you are and own it, live your truth and take on the world.

The week threshold between one year and the next can be quite difficult sometimes. With schedules in flux and lingering between holidays, it is challenging to stave off boredom and anxieties about things to come. You might even find yourself longing for your routine! Fear not, the liminal transition will come to an end soon and an amazing new year will begin.

There are only TEN DAYS left in the entire decade? Can you believe that? Where did the time go? Think about where you were ten years ago and take in all your accomplishments and leave the rest – enjoy the last ten days of the last ten years!

In ten days, 1980 will be forty years ago.
Art is in the eye of the beholder, or in this case, the eye of the horn holder. That is right, our friends at The Haven Zoo created some fantastic paintings of the horn imprints of Boone, Otis and Bernie’s horns. The Haven provides a wonderful place for rescued animals including a herd of goats and now offer the opportunity to sponsor the goats and ensure their high quality of care is maintained. Help keep the Haven goat herd happy and healthy and if you sponsor before Thursday (December 19) you will be entered in prize-draw to win one of the paintings created by the goats seen below!

Go blue for Bernie

Fiery red by Boone
