The twenty first of June 2019

Today is the longest day of the entire year, if you live in the northern hemisphere. Because the planet Earth (the one we live on) rotates around the sun on a tilted axis, certain parts of the planet get more or less sun depending on the time of year. Basically, billions of years ago, when our solar system was being formed, tons of bits of mass collided together to form mini planets, which then collided together to form proto-planets, which eventually became most of what our planet is now. Then, another pro-planet collided with the prelude to Earth and put us on our lovely little tilt which is reasonable for the seasons. Amazing! And the seasons are a big part of why life was able to flourish on our planet. Incredible how things tend to all fall into place like that!

Completely fantastic how millions of collisions resulted in a planet with goats. Amazing.

Children are the future, and what you invest in them will come back to you more than you could ever imagine.

I do not have much to say today! Sometimes, the best response is no response, or maybe just show a picture of an adorable kid (ie. a young goat).

It is ok not to have all the answers.

Go forth this week as though you know everything is going to work out. Think about your goals, hopes and aspirations in the present tense – as though you are already experiencing them in real time. This can make them feel more real, more achievable, and closer than you realise!

You’re much closer than you think!

The third Sunday in June has been designated as Father’s Day for 62 years in the United States, and was not officially recognized as a holiday until 1972. A young woman, Sonora Louise Smart Dodd was inspired by her own father, who raised her and her five siblings alone, and campaigned for a special day honoring all fathers to be celebrated on his birthday.

Even if you sometimes butt heads with your dad (like me), make sure to tell him how much he’s appreciated today.

Let’s hear it for dads!

Sometimes, you just have to be you. I hope that you all have a place or space in your lives where you can be completely and totally free.

Roll around and get comfortable with yourself ❤

Do you ever feel like you are an impostor? Somehow careening along, worried that someone might figure out that you don’t belong, or that your accomplishments are not your own? Imposter syndrome can be really difficult and a cause of stress, depression and other bad things. Take solace in the fact that even if you feel like you aren’t, you are worthy, you do belong, and your accomplishments are well deserved because you are amazing.

Everyone feels like an imposter at some point – just remind yourself that you deserve your success

Instead of getting in your car, go for a walk. It’s better for the planet and for your body. Plus you never know what wonderful things you might encounter along the way.

Less driving more living!
