goatsIf you are confused about how to answer this week, try just saying yes and see what happens. You never know, it might end up being an amazing experience!

Just say yes this week, it might be amazing!

goatsTwo years ago, I was spending some time on the internet (to be honest, as I do everyday). I came across the most magnificent collection of portraits photographs by Kevin Horan, published in the Guardian. This was before the Goat of the Day blog, perhaps even before I thought about specializing in goat photography and understanding the connection between positive vibes and goats. I was totally inspired, and many people have shared these photographs with me since. One of the best parts about starting Goat of the Day is that people share the goats they come across in their lives or on the internet with me. So, today’s goat of the day comes courtesy of Kevin Horan and the Guardian. I hope that you all find inspiration somewhere this weekend.

Meet Lily, the goat of the day. Maybe one day, I will be so lucky as to take goat portraits in such a setting.

goatsTake some time this week to nourish yourself – whether that is through delicious and nutritious food, enjoying some self care, or relaxation. I especially like to nourish myself this time of year with gelato.

The more your nourish yourself the more you can be there for others

goatsWhen it is super sunny make sure to take care of yourself – stay hydrated and drink water, wear sun screen (or sun cream) and consider investing in a snazzy pair of sunglasses. Summer is fun and sunshine is a wonderful source of Vitamin D, but be careful out there!

The smell of sunscreen always makes me think of summer shenanigans!

goatsToday is the 182nd day of the year, so we are halfway through! Time really goes by quite quickly sometimes – take some time to reflect on all that you have experienced and accomplished so far this year – and perhaps revisit and reimagine resolutions and goals you set for yourself 182 days ago and make new ones for the next 182 days ahead.

Already halfway to 2020….

goatsNo matter what time of year it is, what time of day it is, the right choice is always to be kind and compassionate. If you are ever in doubt of what to do, choose the thing that is the most kind.

There is a beautiful mural nearby where I live that says “Kindness is always in season”

goatsToday is the longest day of the entire year, if you live in the northern hemisphere. Because the planet Earth (the one we live on) rotates around the sun on a tilted axis, certain parts of the planet get more or less sun depending on the time of year. Basically, billions of years ago, when our solar system was being formed, tons of bits of mass collided together to form mini planets, which then collided together to form proto-planets, which eventually became most of what our planet is now. Then, another pro-planet collided with the prelude to Earth and put us on our lovely little tilt which is reasonable for the seasons. Amazing! And the seasons are a big part of why life was able to flourish on our planet. Incredible how things tend to all fall into place like that!

Completely fantastic how millions of collisions resulted in a planet with goats. Amazing.
