The difficult days are the ones to endure, because they make the happy and joyous days that much brighter. Take care of yourselves everyone.

Perfection is boring, persistence is amazing.

What are your plans for the week? It is good to have an idea of what you need to get done and hope to accomplish, but it is also good to be flexible and able to say “yes!” to surprise opportunities that might come up throughout the week. Saying yes may just be the start of something incredible!

Flexible planning is a great way to organize your time!
When you travel by air, before the flight takes off, there are always safety instructions in the event of a loss of cabin pressure. Part of those instructions are ensuring that your oxygen mask is securely fastened before assisting others. I hope that you never experience a loss of cabin pressure where you have to use the oxygen mask; however, the same wisdom can be applied to our everyday lives. Before we can truly help others, we must ensure that our own needs are met. Take time to make sure that you are adequately nourished, inside and out, so you can be there for someone else.

Self care is never selfish.
Sometimes you just have to go for it and seize and opportunity. Put aside your self doubt and remember that all you need to succeed in this world is already within you.

Do not doubt yourself, you’re more capable than you know
Reflect on how far you’ve come. It may not seem like it everyday, but you have actually accomplished quite a bit and your existence makes someone else’s life a bit brighter and happier. Don’t look back in regret, look back with admiration for all you have survived. Look back to build strength to push forward – if you have made it this far the possibilities about how far you will go are endless!

The past is all part of your epic saga, without it you wouldn’t be who you are or where you are.
Nothing is ever or will ever be perfect, no matter how hard you try or how hard you work. That doesn’t mean working and trying isn’t worth it, absolutely it is! Although your creation may not be perfect, the more you put in the more glorious it will be.

Perfect is boring, a messy life is a life well-lived.
Looking around it may seem like some people just have it better than you. They may appear to be more accomplished, have more things or even enjoy more happiness than you do. Judging yourself against the lives of others only harms you. You never know what cobwebs might be hanging behind someone’s gleaming smile or job promotion. Everyone struggles, everyone has their own stories to tell, and comparing yourself to what might appear to be brighter, bigger or better than you is completely unproductive. Be proud of yourself, your story and your accomplishments AND have joy for others, knowing that you will never know their full story. Everyone deserves contentment, give yourself the gift of liberating yourself of jealousy and comparison.

Imagine in a world where you accept your own amazingness AND the amazingness of others.
Never leave for tomorrow what could be done today is usually a sage piece of advice; however, once in awhile, it is ok to leave the sink with some dishes, the floor with some laundry, or boring chores for the next day if something more pressing comes up first. That can even include allowing yourself adequate rest!

Don’t worry, it will get done, always prioritize yourself.
Spend some time this holiday weekend outdoors. The weather is lovely a sunshine is good for your physical and mental health – plus, at least in the UK and US, it’s a long weekend! Enjoy the time, you deserve a break and some fun!

Long weekends are perfect for hangouts.
Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing at all. Allow yourself some time for rest.

Take rest and avoid being overwhelmed.
