I do not have much to say today! Sometimes, the best response is no response, or maybe just show a picture of an adorable kid (ie. a young goat).

It is ok not to have all the answers.

Go forth this week as though you know everything is going to work out. Think about your goals, hopes and aspirations in the present tense – as though you are already experiencing them in real time. This can make them feel more real, more achievable, and closer than you realise!

You’re much closer than you think!
It is Friday after a busy week, so here is a blurry four day old baby Nigerian Dwarf goat to get your weekend started.

I hope that your weekend is full of many wonderful shenanigans!
Do you ever feel like you are an impostor? Somehow careening along, worried that someone might figure out that you don’t belong, or that your accomplishments are not your own? Imposter syndrome can be really difficult and a cause of stress, depression and other bad things. Take solace in the fact that even if you feel like you aren’t, you are worthy, you do belong, and your accomplishments are well deserved because you are amazing.

Everyone feels like an imposter at some point – just remind yourself that you deserve your success
Sometimes you don’t really need an inspirational quote to get you through the day. Sometimes, you just need a big cup of coffee.

Thursdays can be exhausting, but there is hope for the weekend, plus there is always coffee!
The difficult days are the ones to endure, because they make the happy and joyous days that much brighter. Take care of yourselves everyone.

Perfection is boring, persistence is amazing.
What are your plans for the week? It is good to have an idea of what you need to get done and hope to accomplish, but it is also good to be flexible and able to say “yes!” to surprise opportunities that might come up throughout the week. Saying yes may just be the start of something incredible!

Flexible planning is a great way to organize your time!
When you travel by air, before the flight takes off, there are always safety instructions in the event of a loss of cabin pressure. Part of those instructions are ensuring that your oxygen mask is securely fastened before assisting others. I hope that you never experience a loss of cabin pressure where you have to use the oxygen mask; however, the same wisdom can be applied to our everyday lives. Before we can truly help others, we must ensure that our own needs are met. Take time to make sure that you are adequately nourished, inside and out, so you can be there for someone else.

Self care is never selfish.
Reflect on how far you’ve come. It may not seem like it everyday, but you have actually accomplished quite a bit and your existence makes someone else’s life a bit brighter and happier. Don’t look back in regret, look back with admiration for all you have survived. Look back to build strength to push forward – if you have made it this far the possibilities about how far you will go are endless!

The past is all part of your epic saga, without it you wouldn’t be who you are or where you are.
Today is World Meditation Day. You don’t have to be a Buddhist or a master yogi to reap the benefits from a few moments of silence. Meditation has been found to improve your health, reduces inflammation, increases your capacity for compassion and can even improve your brain! The positive effects of regular meditation have been well documented for nearly two thousand years and have been verified by recent science. So give it a go, perhaps start with just two minutes and see where it takes you! You never know, you just might become even better friends with yourself.

“There is nothing greater than the delight of sitting, just sitting in silence with nothing to do” – Carol Trevor
